Fulvic and Humic adids from dringing water as “food grade” quality

The largest drinking water utility in the Netherlanands which produces fulvic and humic acid (FA/HA) from drinking water on a large scale. With almost 100 production sites spread across the supply area and serves 35% of the Netherlands with high quality drinking water. At three locations the groundwater is withdrawn from peat areas with a slight natural colour caused by the presence of mainly fulvic acid.Since 2006 the company extracts this colour from drinking water to improve the water quality and subsequently disposed this substance as a waste stream not knowing until recently that it could be very useful biostimulant substance for the agricultural sector and crops. In 2012 the vitens developed a sustainable and highly effective technology to purify and concentrate these FA/HA to a 17% FA and 1% HA products which according to IHSS guidelines. Besides of “food grade”quality, together with research institues in the Netherlannds these FA/HA from drinking water have shown to be very effective for soil/plant/crop/vegetable but also very useful for animals feed application. The product of  sustainable Fulvic acid /Humic acid now offer to the modern agricultural sector which have extraodinary effect.
